Question
I was having a discussion today with one of my non-record-label co-workers (cuz in this biz, ya gotta keep yer day job) about blogs. And I was saying that I don't blog much here, because I don't know what to tell y'all. Cuz I don't want to get into gossip - tell you what Falconhawk ate for breakfast today on tour (did they eat breakfast? I hope so - most important meal of the day, even if it's just cold pizza), or how many blackfly bites Old Reliable got up in Yellowknife a couple weeks ago, or whether Tim Hus wears two kinds of plaid at the same time. I dunno - whaddaya wanna know? Drop us a line if you like - we're pretty good about answering (when we're not scrambling to finish FACTOR grant applications...urgh...)
BTW, if you need a break from listening to SBR records, check out Jim White's new album "Drill A Hole In That Substrate And Tell Me What You See". It'd actually go really well with Old Reliable, I suspect...
Oh yeah - news! Vailhalen's EP "Becs d'Oiseaux" has arrived in our hot little hands. Keep your ears tuned to your local campus radio station for it in the amazingly near future!
peace and cheers

In the event that you're bored...
Not only is it Stampede here in Cowtown, but SBR's taking over the entertainment end of things!
Tonight, Falconhawk is at Brew Brothers pub; Vailhalen is at Broken City (both of these are on 11th Avenue S.W.); Tim Hus is at the Ironwood (in Inglewood), and Old Reliable is at the Jampede at the Bowness Community Hall.
In the next few days, Tim Hus will be at Brew Bros. for afternoon shows - if you want some authentic country and/or western entertainment, go check him out.
OR is hitting the road for a couple weeks, heading out east towards Ontario, as well as making a weekend stop up in Yellowknife. Drop us a line if you'd like their full sked - and remember that there'll be songs from the upcoming new album (probably to be titled "The Burning Truth") in those sets, so if you'd like a preview, go check 'em out.
FH will also be hitting the eastward trail, although without the northern jaunt. It may be a little different show from what you've seen before - probably just a keyboards/drums lineup - but it'll still be a killer event!
Also, the Vailhalen EP "Becs d'Oiseaux" will probably be available in the next couple weeks - keep your eyes peeled!
later, kidlets
