Mazel Tov 2!

Congratulations to Tim Hus, Rising Star!

Not that we didn't all know that before, but now it's known in the mainstream. Tim came second in Country 105's (that's Calgary's hottest new country station) Rising Star contest this past Wednesday.

Way to go, Stompin' Tim!

Mazel Tov!

(Congratulations!)

A big shout-out and hug to Old Reliable's Shuyler Jansen. The next time you see the band, go up and pat him on the back for getting himself hitched. And the next time you see his wonderful spouse Angie, go and pat her on the back for having the proverbial cojones to take on this crazy guy...

Best wishes for everything in the future, you two!

So I'm sitting here watching Survivor...

...although let's be clear that I rarely watch Survivor. I thought the maze was cool, and then I got sucked in. Must be the snow making me wanna watch tropical trees and people with tans...

What's new? We're gonna head out to North By Northeast in, what, a month. Falconhawk and Old Reliable have both been accepted for showcase slots, so we're gonna go out and schmooze till we cain't schmooze no more. We'll have dates etc. up closer to the date.

And guess what? Tim Hus's CD is out. The release party was May 1, and it was one helluva shindig. But if you weren't there, you can pick up a copy of Alberta Crude at finer music stores near you, and have a party in your living room every night.

Think that's all for now. More as it comes. Keep smilin', folks!
