Welcome!
So here we are...
The first day of Saved By Radio's funky new online presence. What can I say about this occasion... Well, thanks muchly to our designer, first! :)
We'll have more in the "upcoming events/in the works" section soon - March has just been a hairy month for all of us, so we (by that I mean "me" - mea culpa, mea culpa) haven't quite got that together yet. But things that are happening:
-We're gonna be up at Junofest in Edmonton this weekend (April 2-4). For sure we'll be at the Old Reliable show on Friday night and the Swiftys/Joel Plaskett show on Saturday night, so look out for two weird chicks and a misplaced hockey player. (that description puts me in mind of either a show that was on CJSR in edmonton in the early 90s - two big 8s and felipe the callipygian moose - or three dead trolls in a baggie...)
-Tim Hus's new CD "Alberta Crude" is out at the pressing plant as we speak - it'll be here in our hot little hands by the middle of April. Exciting times, indeed!
-Oh yeah - pick up the April issue of Exclaim if you get a chance. Kara Keith of Falconhawk had a cool chat with writer Helen Spitzer a couple weeks ago, and it should be in there. (If it's not, well...hrm...)
So that's all for now. I will get my butt in gear on the writing - promise. But now I'm off to proofread. Fun, fun and more fun...
Stomp on, y'all!
